I don't know if you know me or not, but my name is Gina Nuccio and I used to go to DCF/Clemson but I left in may. I'm looking at getting a digital SLR camera, and I really appreciate your advice on the subject. I'm pretty much just starting out in photography and i've been messing around with my old Pentax all summer, but I think i'm ready to buy a nice digital one. I don't need one that has lots of fancy features, since i'm still an ameteur and i'll just be taking pictures for fun, but I do want to get one that I can "grow" with. I've been looking into several models, but right now I'm looking at the Nikon D40x. do you know anything about this camera? i researched it a lot and know some of the drawbacks but from what I can tell it's a great value. any advice you can give me would be awesome! thanks so much for your help.
