Paul wrote tnat we were all of one body. We each have different gifts. I have to continully ask the Lord to keep me humble. It is to easy to think I am doing things from my own efforts. But Jesus said apart from me you can do nothing. So, all that we do, is done with the Holy Spirit that resides in us. God bless you and guide you in His will.

I think you are right on, Jeromie. We are inter-dependent on each other to reflect the fullest picture possible of the heart and character of God...different parts of the one "body of Christ." When we live and love in true community (when our hearts are freed up to be who God has made us to be), it is a powerful, redemptive thing. As Paul says, it is a great mystery.

Of course, we're all the walking wounded, so it seems we only catch glimpses of what can be in the church. But it's enough to keep us going, isn't it?

I look forward to hearing more about your prayer for humility and how God is answering. That was a brave, brave prayer!
